Air & Ground Source Heating
From our development on Tan y Berllan in Deganwy onwards we have been working with both ground and air source heating. Our developments on Copthorn Road & Llanwrst Road will utilise air source heating.
Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can extract heat from the air even when the outside temperature is as low as minus 15° C.
Heat pumps have some impact on the environment as they need electricity to run, but the heat they extract from the ground, air, or water is constantly being renewed naturally.
The biggest benefit of this is that gas prices are expected to rise quicker than any other form of energy in the coming years, meaning that over time this system will be the most efficient to run.
Rain Water Harvesting
Using tanks designed to collect the rain fall in your garden, we are able to use this for flushing toilets. This offers a considerable saving as all new homes are now on water meters.
